(junior) Pricing Analyst

Part time/full time, 32–38 hours

Low prices are a key part of Action's positioning. As a (Junior) Pricing Analyst, you will make an impact in this field and serve as the link between data and decisions. This is your daily action

You are responsible for implementing our pricing strategy. How? By providing insights and making recommendations as to the right pricing decisions. You do this together with your fellow analysts in the Netherlands, the price checkers in the various countries, and our software partners. You collect internal and external data and analyze and optimize it. The great thing about this role is that you will be supporting Action’s growth by setting the right prices for existing and new countries while helping to build our pricing and process structures.

Your job at a glance:

• Together with your fellow analysts and our software partners, you will collect, analyse and optimise internal and external data
• You will monitor the quality of incoming data and ensure it is processed correctly
• Based on data and your product knowledge, you will create the pricing strategy for each product category and present it to your colleagues in Procurement
• You will support the development and implementation of our pricing tools and guide the procurement teams in how to use them
• You will perform both recurring and ad hoc analyses for a range of product categories. Examples include margin analyses or expansions into new countries
• You will seek out opportunities to optimise existing or new processes
• You will likewise keep an eye on the latest pricing developments

Meet your team

The pricing team consists of 15 members, four of whom are analysts at our IHQ in Zwaagdijk. The other team members are based in different countries.

You will join an international team that works hard and is always evolving. Brainstorming and sharing ideas are key aspects of the pricing team's approach to work.
As a pricing analyst, you will be asked to work in an international environment where flexibility, curiosity, reliability and persuasiveness are essential to guaranteeing Action’s lowest price based on your expert insights.

This is you

As a pricing analyst, you have a commercial way of thinking, meaning you are proactive and focused on results. You feel at home in an international team that works with various departments at Action. You also take responsibility in your role as an expert, complete your work quickly and set priorities. You can process complex information independently and communicate it in a simple, comprehensible manner. 

You also have the following:

• A higher professional education qualification in economics, business administration or similar
• At least one year's relevant work experience as a (junior) analyst, pricing analyst, business analyst or commercial analyst, preferably in a retail organisation
• Excel experience is required
• A good command of the English language
